Summer Picnic

at Jack and Barbara Sykes' house
in Doylestown, PA

We have a change of scenery for this year's picnic, as Jack and Barbara Sykes have graciously offered us their back yard and pool (bring your swim suit!). As always, it will be complete with hot-off-the grill food, beverages, and, of course, the infamous Games of Ancient Grease!

Members are asked to bring a covered dish (side dish, dessert, Jade, etc.) or a $5 contribution to the food fund.

From 611 northbound from Warrington/Willow Grove, bear right after the Texaco and about 100 yards later bear right into Doylestown boro, make a right onto 202 highway and at end make right at light 202/313 onto 313/Swamp Road. Second right (about ½ mile) is Cherry Lane. Make right onto Cherry, and about ½ mile on right is white cape cod style house - number 88. TRs park on lawn to right of mailbox, sedans in Driveway. If you come to East Street you missed it.

From Chalfont, take 202 North and after Delaware Valley College (on right) go toward next traffic light and just before light make right onto 611 south and take first exit for 202 North. At end of highway (3 miles) at 202/313 traffic light make right onto 313/Swamp Road (Exxon and Mobil on corners). Second right (about ½ mile) is Cherry Lane. Make right onto Cherry, and about ½ mile on right is white cape cod style house - number 88. TRs park on lawn to right of mailbox, sedans in Driveway. If you come to East Street you missed it.

From Newtown, take 413 North all the way to Buckingham (about 8-10 miles). You will cross over railroad tracks and then come to a traffic light which is 263/York Road, continue on 413 to next traffic light (200 yards) to 202 traffic light and make left onto 202 South. Continue a few miles to next traffic light (2 gas stations), make left onto Swamp Road/313, continue about ½ mile to second right which is Cherry Lane. Make right onto Cherry, and about ½ mile on right is white cape cod style house - number 88. TRs park on lawn to right of mailbox, sedans in Driveway. If you come to East Street you missed it.

From Bensalem, take 95 north and exit at Newtown/Yardley, make left at top of the exit and follow 413 Bypass for at least 4-5 traffic lights, it will then direct you to make a right to continue on 413 North. (If you see Bucks County Community College on your left you missed it) About 200 yards later make a left at the traffic light onto 413 North, follow above directions from Newtown. From Quakertown, take 313 south all the way into Doylestown, past Mercer Tile Works to 202 Intersection (Mobil on right / Exxon on far left) continue straight through intersection for ½ mile to second right which is Cherry Lane. Make right onto Cherry, and about ½ mile on right is white cape cod style house - number 88. TRs park on lawn to right of mailbox, sedans in Driveway. If you come to East Street you missed it.
